Landscape painting often involves painting trees and if near a stream rocks. We will learn to paint different types of trees and learn techniques to capture rocks and boulders. Reference material will be provided or you may bring reference photos. Bring a natural sponge. (Location to come)

Designing your composition is one of the most important steps in the painting process. This workshop will focus on negative shapes and their role in creating dynamic composition. Variation in shape and painting around your subject will be covered. Students will work from a still life that will be provided. Please bring a viewfinder and sketchbook to class. (Location to come)
